About Us

Ass Burn is Trevi and Becky's original creation named after the next morning's effect. This one uses cayenne peppers for a universal heat and flavor and goes well with eggs in all Mexican food and bloody mary's.

Big Daddy’s Hot Sauces are made by Big Daddy Trevi and his wife Becky, residents of the eclectic Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas, from their homemade recipes. They began making the sauces from their kitchen with peppers grown in their pepper garden in 2001 and began commercially making sauces in 2004 from the urging of friends. They wanted to create sauces that combine great flavor as well as heat: Big Daddy’s Ass Burn, Amplified Heat, High on Fire, The Flaming Lips Three Drops of Death, E.H.G. In the Name of Suffering, Fu Manchu Burning Road, GoatWhore Blood for the Master, Venomous Maximus Firewalker, and the Orange Show Fire Blossom Special BBQ Sauce.
Being a longtime participant in the Houston underground metal scene, playing bass in such bands as Venomous Maximus, Whorehound, and Drunken Thunder, Trevi has played with and become friends with many internationally acclaimed bands. He named the High on Fire hot sauce after his friends in the Oakland-based metal band of the same name, getting their esteemed album cover artist Arik Roper to design the label. He named the Amplified Heat hot sauce after his friends in the Austin-based classic rock band of the same name. The Flaming Lips hot sauce was made with his friends in the legendary beyond-description Oklahoma City band with singer Wayne Coyne and longtime Lips artist George Salisbury doing the label artwork. E.H.G In the Name of Suffering was made with his friends in the legendary New Orleans blues sludge band EYEHATEGOD and named after their historical debut album. Fu Manchu Burning Road was made with his friends in the legendary Southern California hard rocking skate, surf, and BMX band, named after their classic song and the 70’s retro label done by their bass player Brad Davis. GoatWhore Blood for the Master was made with his friends in the New Orleans black/death metal band after their iconic album. Venomous Maximus Firewalker is named for Trevi’s own Houston-based classic metal band (he finally made a sauce for his own band) with internationally renowned tattoo artist and painter Tim Lehi doing the label art.

Amplified Heat is made with their friends from the Austin-based classic rock band and named of the same name. This one is great for the vegetarian as it can replace bacon as it uses smoked jalapeno peppers for a strong, smoky flavor and goes well with eggs, tacos, green veggies (i.e. cabbage, green beans, spinach, mustard greens, etc) and soups (i.e. taco, chicken and dumplings). High on Fire is made with their friends in the Oakland-based metal band and name of the same name and their esteemed album cover artist Arik Roper designed the label. This one uses habanero peppers for a more intense heat and is good in Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai. For band info check out www.highonfire.net

Flaming Lips Three Drops of Death is made with their friends in the legendary beyond-description Oklahoma City band with singer Wayne Coyne and named of the same name. The longtime Lips artist George Salisbury did the label artwork. This one is a trippy sauce with citrus flavor coming from pineapples and ginger while still delivering nice heat with habaneros. This one goes well with pizza, seafood, chicken, and pork as well as a salad dressing. For band info check out www.flaminglips.com

E.H.G In the Name of Suffering is made with their friends in the legendary New Orleans blues sludge band EYEHATEGOD and named after their historical debut album. This one is our hottest sauce, combining the heat of the ghost pepper, the smoky-earthieness of the ancho, and the holy trinity of Cajun cooking and goes great on steak, fajitas, portobello mushrooms and all cajun dishes. For band info check out www.eyehategod.ee

Fu Manchu Burning Road is made with their friends in the legendary Southern California hard rocking skate, surf, and BMX band and named after their classic song and the 70’s retro label done by their bass player Brad Davis. This one is an Asian-type hot mustard sauce getting its heat from jalapenos and ghost peppers and goes well on pretzels, hot dogs and anything Asian, similar to a hot mustard sauce. For band info check out www.fu-manchu.com

GoatWhore Blood for the Master is made with their friends in the New Orleans black/death metal band after their iconic album. This one is basically liquefied pepper corns and is great on anything you would put black pepper on as well as being great in bloody mary's and martinis too. For band info check out www.goatwhore.net

Venomous Maximus Firewalker is named for Trevi’s own Houston-based classic metal band with internationally renowned tattoo artist and painter Tim Lehi doing the label art. This one is a sweet/savory blend black berries, jalepeno and schezwan peppercorns that works well as a glaze for turkey or ham but is also great on cheese cake and ice cream. For band info check out www.facebook.com/VenomousMaximus

The Orange Show Fire Blossom Special BBQ Sauce is made for the Houston art institution behind Houston's Art Cars. This one is a citrus forward BBQ sauce made without high-fructose corn syrup that brings strong flavors of oranges, honey, and habaneros and is good as a pizza sauce as well as all things BBQ.
